Hello Dawn! My name is Piero and I am a member of the D2L Product Support team. I will be helping you with your questions today. It's not entirely clear to me if you are referring to have a link that points to the homepage of your course offering, or links that are pointing to specific content modules in your course. Both are possible, so I will explain both options: 1. Direct link to Course Homepage Every course offering has a unique Org Unit ID (OU ID). This is a numeric value that is unique for each course offering in your organization. * URL Structure: https:///d2l/home/ * How to find your course URL:* Open the specific course in Brightspace. * Look at your browser’s address bar — you will see a URL ending in a number (e.g., https://myschool.brightspace.com/d2l/home/123456). * Copy and share this URL. When Learners or Instructors that already enrolled in the course click on that link, it takes them directly to the course homepage (prompting for login if the User is not already authenticated). 2. Insert Quicklinks within Course Content / Announcements To link to a specific course item, module, or page from within an announcement, email, or content topic: * In the HTML Editor (e.g., creating an Announcement or Content page), click the Insert Quicklink icon (🔗). * Choose what you want to link to:* Course Tools / Activities: Select Assignments, Quizzes, Discussions, or Content Modules. * URL / External link: Select URL, paste your direct course URL or external website link, and choose whether it opens in a Whole Window, Same Frame, or New Window. * Click Insert. * This will create a link that, instead of taking to the course homepage, will take directly to that specific content.
