Course Status is Pending Evaluation

I have a user who has completed all of the required topics and has successfully submitted and scored 100 for passing. However, the Course Completion status is sitting at "Pending Evaluation" or "Not Attempted". There is nothing else to submit. The course completion should be manually graded. What else am I missing?

Upon thinking about that, here are a few things I would check:

1. Is that a SCORM object? It could be that the SCORM object is not passing the completion to brightspace.
2. Release conditions on the completion activity: If the completion activity has release conditions tied to other content, it may not be triggering even though everything looks done.
3. The completion criteria itself: Double-check what's actually set as the completion criteria. If it's tied to a specific grade item, grade category, or final grade rather than the individual activity they scored 100 on, it won't fire. There could be a hidden topic maybe, that's preventing the completion.
4. "Manually graded" means someone needs to mark it complete: If the course completion is set to manual evaluation, an admin/instructor literally has to go into Course Admin > Course Completion > Evaluate and mark the user as complete. It won't auto-complete regardless of scores.
5. Content topics visited vs. completed: "Required topics" may need to be marked as completed by the learner (checkbox), not just visited/opened. If any topic wasn't explicitly checked off, the system may not see it as done.

If none of the above resolves it, I'd recommend opening a support case so we can look at the specific course completion criteria and user activity data directly.
