Annual Rollover Archiving Courses

When archiving courses, is there a way to access the class list and completion records from these courses without restoring the course? If not, are there any downsides to restoring the course provided you have end dated it? Would the course show up again on the enrolled users main screen?

Hi Sarah,

Yes. there is a role setting that enables access to past or inactive courses.

Best to conect with your institutions LMS administration team to discuss enabling Course Access > Access past courses and/or Access inactive courses for your role. This enables you to open the archived course and view the Classlist and completion records without having to restoring it, provided your role has permission to access those tools.

Your institution may have another process or workflow in place enabling you to have short-term access to past courses to retrieve the information you need. Best to check with your LMS administration team.
