Keep percentage grades from rounding up

Question

We don't want to display any decimal points with our percentage grades, but if we don't set it to at least 1 percent it rounds up. Even if I set the managing view to 1 decimal and the student view to 0 decimals, it still rounds up in the students point of view.

Is there a way to keep it from rounding up?

Based on your specific use case, I think it would be a good idea to have a support agent take a closer look in the gradebook settings, items, grades that were entered and advise accordingly.

Thank you for following up.

There is no configuration within the grading scheme itself to automatically round grades down. To achieve this behaviour, you would need to create a custom grading scheme where each symbol represents the rounded-down grade, and the start percentage for each symbol corresponds to the minimum grade required to achieve that symbol.

A simple example is illustrated in the screenshot below.
