Does the gradebook automatically change the weighting if you exempt students from assignments

Hi folks…..I have two evaluation profiles in my course outline for students. If they opt out of journals and problem sets, then the weight of their tests goes up by 20 % and is now 70% weighting and the final remains the same 30% weighting. my question is around those students who are opting out of journals and problem sets, thus changing the weight of unit tests from 50-70%…..can I manually change the weighting for those students exempted from journals and problem sets?

Hi there!

There are a few different things that you can do to better manage exemptions in your gradebook. I am not sure if you have set up categories in your gradebook, but this is a really great way to better control the weights with exemptions. We also have this great doc for final grades and exemptions.
