Is it possible to provide students with a search function
We have had a number of students frustrated when trying to find course resources. They have requested a search function within the course to enable them to search for resources, documents etc. Is this a possibility? I can't find anything to suggest it is.

As it stands, you can only search within the content area, and the search can only find things in the titles and the description fields. The main way to work with that limitation is to use those fields well enough to try to catch the main terms that students would search for.
There's a paid integration called Atomic Search that you might want to look into. I'm not an expert on what it can and can't do, but I think it might be closer to what you're looking for than the standard functionality.
