Discussion Name Change Not Reflecting in Gradebook – Brightspace

I would like to understand an issue related to Discussions and the Gradebook in Brightspace.

When a Discussion topic is linked to the Gradebook and we later change the naming convention of that specific Discussion, the Gradebook continues to display the previous name instead of the updated one.

As a result, we are required to manually update the Gradebook item name, which is a very time-consuming process, especially when managing multiple courses and discussions. Since the Discussion is already linked to the Gradebook, we expected the updated Discussion title to automatically reflect in the Gradebook.

Could you please explain the reason for this and let us know if there is any automation or system-level solution available to synchronize Discussion name changes with the Gradebook?
