Exam Feedback
Is there a way to collapse the 'Feedback' boxes on the new exam view? There used to be an option, but that was apparently removed in the new exam view. I do not need feedback boxes for every single multiple-choice question, and having to scroll through has made the new exam view quite cumbersome. Thank you.

Hi David,
You're absolutely right—there used to be an option to collapse the Feedback boxes in the legacy quiz evaluation view, but that functionality has been removed in the New Quiz Evaluation Experience, which is now the default across all Brightspace environments.
Currently, there is no built-in way to collapse or hide feedback boxes for individual questions during grading. The new experience emphasizes a richer HTML editor for feedback, allowing instructors to:
- Upload supporting files
- Insert equations
- Use advanced formatting and multimedia tools
However, this comes at the cost of a more expanded interface, which can be cumbersome when grading multiple-choice questions with no feedback needed.
You can read more about the new evaluation layout and feedback options in the official documentation:
At this time, the best workaround is to use the Questions tab during grading and limit the number of questions per page (1, 5, 10, or 20) to reduce scrolling. You can also leave the feedback fields blank for auto-graded questions if no feedback is needed.
If this impacts your workflow significantly, I recommend submitting a feature request via the Product Idea Exchange (PIE) so D2L can consider reintroducing collapsible feedback boxes.
Let me know if you'd like help submitting that PIE item, or if you have any question!
