Text scanning tool for survey results? (scanning for offensive language)

We are making greater use of the Survey tool and a team member posed a compelling question: Is there such a thing as a tool in Brightspace that can scan survey results for offensive language so that they can be removed from compiled results? We were wondering if there was something that could accomplish this before survey results are downloaded for further analysis. It would greatly increase the efficiency of survey compilation and analysis versus a manual process.

Hi Alex. There's no tool within the Brightspace user interface that can do this, as far as I'm aware. If you wanted to filter survey results before the point of analysis, I think you'd need to use something like Analytics Builder (in our Performance+ package) and run data transformations on the Survey User Answer Responses dataset to remove any rows that contain words that you've specified.
