Is there a way to add a banner image to a Course Template? When I create a template it has no banner image and this results in the Visual TOC widget to shown the missing image icon because by default it uses the banner image as image for units. I can't find a way to turn the banner on for Course Templates. When I go to the Course Template Information page theer is no option ""Display the image in a banner on the module homepage" like there is for Course offerings. I checked all permissions but can't find one which turns on the use of banners in Course Templates. We would like to use this feature so our course developments teams can setup a Course Template which we can copy (including the banner) to all the offerings of that course so they all have the samen content and look

In a Course offering we have something like:

Course banner.png

In templates we have:

Template has no banner.png

According to the config variable settings the banner should be shown by default for all otherb OrgUnit types. It does in our system for Departments

    Hello Arald,

Thank you for reaching out with your question about adding banner images to Course Templates.

It is possible to add a banner image to a Course Template in Brightspace, though the process is not as direct as it is for Course Offerings. Course Templates do not include the "Display the image in a banner on the course homepage" option in the Course Template Information page, and you cannot upload a banner image directly through the UI. However, you can achieve the desired result by copying the banner image from an existing course offering into the template using the Import/Export/Copy Components tool.

You can find detailed instructions in the following articles:

Once this is set up, any new offerings created from that template will inherit the banner image.

    I hope this information helps!
