We are trying to add reading assignments by sections (not the entire ebook) to a course form MacMillan Achieve. It only shows in our Brightspace course if we link it to a grade item. Any suggestions? We have looked at MacMillan resources.

If there is no option to add the reading assignments without linking them to grade items, you can create the reading assignment and the accompanying grades, but then set the grades to have no effect on the user's grades by having a weight of 0% towards the user's final grades. You can also set the grade items to hidden so that the grades are not visible to the students. Please review this and let me know if this suggestion helped to achieve the desired workflow.
