Can I use the Instructor Usage Advanced Data Set in analyses in Insights?

Question

I would love to use the Instructor Usage ADS in a live report for in the Insights Analytics Builder. Is that possible? If not, how do I recreate that data? What BDS do I pull from and how do I connect them? What filters do I use, if any, on each table?

Thanks for the clarification. We have a comprehensive course in our Learning center which would walk you through how to use a Brightspace Dataset in Analytics builder. Sharing the link to Learning Center for your reference:

However, it might not be possible to use Instructor Usage Dataset in Analytics builder considering it is an advanced dataset which are generated on demand. You may want to contact your CSM, as this could involve working with our Learning Analytics team and require a paid engagement.

In case you have any further assistance with datasets in Analytics builder, I would suggest you to open a case regarding this in the ASC Portal? That will allow us to assign a support agent who can investigate it further.

At the bottom of that documentation, there is a link to Analytics Builder Course that requires you to have an authenticated session into Communiy in order to access.

Within that course, there is a part that talks about Creating Dashboards in Analytics Builder.

Thank you for your answer, but I think you misread my question. To clarify, I do have an administrator role (as in, I am one of the administrators) in D2L for my institution. The issue is that I want to build a dashboard in Insights Analytics Builder using the Instructor Usage dataset… not just run the report, which I can already do.
