Hi @Ome.O.9322
Here’s a step-by-step guide to grading using labels like Distinction, Merit, etc.:
Step 1: Create a Custom Grade Scheme
- Go to: Grades > Schemes.
- Click New Scheme.
- Give your scheme a name.
- Under Ranges
- Click Save and Close.
Step 2: Apply the Grade Scheme to a Grade Item
- Go to Grades > Manage Grades.
- Click on the dropdown next to the grade item you want to update (e.g., the assignment).
- Choose Edit Grade Item.
- Under the Grading section, find Grade Scheme.
- Select the custom scheme you just created.
- Save and Close.
Step 3: Grade the Assignment Using the Scheme
When you go to Assess the Assignment, you can now:
- Enter a percentage, and Brightspace will automatically display the correct label (e.g., 72% = Distinction).
- OR — depending on setup — you may just choose from the dropdown list of grade scheme levels.
