SCORM Packages with Awards attached
Hi there,
I have a SCORM package with an award attached to it - the release condition is the award is released when the content topic is completed.
I updated the SCORM package and now some learners have lost their awards. I checked the Awards Issued data set and cannot find the students in there either.
So, if you update a SCORM package, does that mean you lose all data attached to the old package?
Thanks in advance!

Hi @Laura.C.907
It depends on the Version Control settings you specified when you added the original SCORM package to your course content.
If you selected 'Always display the latest version', when you upload a new version the SCORM package, the most recently updated version is displayed in Content, effectively overwriting what was displayed in Content previously. As such, any completion data associated with the previous version will be replaced with no completion data since that version of package has not been completed.
If you selected 'Display this version even if a new version is added', when you upload a new version of the SCORM package, the original package version is still displayed in Content. This will ensure that completion data associated with the original version of the package will remain in tact.
Do you perhaps have a previous version of the Awards Issued data set (from before you updated the SCORM package) which you could refer to? If so, you can use this information to manually mark the SCORM activity as completed. This should then trigger the Release Condition to issue the award to those who you marked as having completed the activity in the previous version of the SCORM package.
