How to Fix New News Items Not Sorting Chronologically
When a new News Item is posted in a course, it is not sorted in correct chronological order on the News page. This causes an issue because when scheduled News Items post on a later date, they will not post above the manually created News Item on the course home page.
There used to be a workaround where if all of the News Items dates were changed forward (in bulk) by a couple of days, then backward, the News Items would sort chronologically again. However, this workaround does not appear to help anymore.
Is there a way to fix the issue besides continually manually re-ordering the News Items after new ones are created?

Based on your description, I think it would be a good idea to create a support case with the details of the course and New News Items created not sorting chronologically for further investigation as I was not able to reproduce the issue on our support test site.
