Hi Neal! Owen here, thanks for reaching out to Brightspace with your question about counting only the highest grade of multiple quiz attempts!
When building your quiz, you'll be able to select how it's graded (averaged across attempts, count only first/last attempt, count only highest, etc.) in the overall grade calculator under "manage quizzes" and information on how you can set this up is presented in the article below:
