Notifications: settings set correctly?
Hi,
Just a quick question to check on something: we've set up for all users that they receive the checked notifications below. However: we've set up the default frequency to Never. Does this mean the notifications that are checked won't be send out? I first thought that those notifications would be send out any time there is a update on any of those items, but reading it again I'm thinking that the frequency (set to never, daily or weekly) just gives a daily/weekly e-mail with all the updates mentionable on the topics checked.
Does anyone know what the correct thought is on this settings?

Hello @Marleen.D.431, thank you for reaching out! Setting notifications frequency to Never means users won't receive these summary emails.
However, individual notifications for specific events (such as new announcements or assignment submissions) are controlled separately under Instant Notifications. If these are enabled, users will receive immediate notifications for those events, You may check out this article:
for detailed guidance on adjusting personal notification settings.I would also connect you with the documentation outlining all of the things that the Notifications tool can send updates for. If you are not seeing these options, I recommend connecting with your school's administrator or IT help desk, as it's possible that they need to configure part of the tool from their end to allow you to see all options.
