no sounds or badges on iPhone from Pulse App

I have notifications set up in the Pulse App and I see them when I open the app and tap the notifications button. However, even though I have notifications enabled for Pulse in my iPhone settings, I still do not get push notifications such as badges and sounds. How can I fix this? Notifications I can only see when I open the app itself aren't useful for addressing student needs timely.

You can change push notifications settings through the Pulse app.

• From the homepage, on the top left, tap your organization icon, and then tap Settings
• Under Notifications, tap Push Notifications.

and you'll be able to see a list of options to toggle a push notification on/off for.

Unfortunately, this does not answer my question. The question isn't about getting notifications within the app itself, which is what this question answers. The question is how to get push notifications outside the app and not in email. The same way every other app works…with a a red bubble and number or a banner or a sound or all of the these. It is that part that isn't working.

To clarify, when students turn on push notifications from the Pulse app, they will be able to receive course-related updates/notifications from Announcements, Assignments, Quizzes and other Brightspace content on their device's home screen and notifications bar.

Additionally, it should provide badges and sounds (the little red circle with the number of notifications in the app at the top right of the app icon)? None of these features are working for me and some of my students indicate this as well. This is how the settings on my phone look and I get none of these things.
