Search for terms in a discussion

When reading posts, I might want to refer a student back to someone else's post, but I don't remember the content of everyone's post. Is there a search function for a discussion forum, where I can search for words or terms and see which posts contain them? That would also be useful for detecting inauthentic/copied work.

Yes, there is a search. In the Topic once you click on that topic, on the right you should see the box to enter your words to initiate the search.
On the Left, I have the Topic "Dogs and Cats" on the right in the Search box, I enter the words purr and it will then only bring up the students post that had the word "purr" as required. Hope that helps.
