How can I move an active student out of an inactive discussion group and keep their work?

I'm still having trouble navigating who is or is not active and I inadvertently put an active student into a small discussion group with inactive users. The active student posted 3 discussion threads and no one replied so I moved him to an active group. Unfortunately I can't see anyway to move his discussion threads with him to the new group. Can anyone help? Does anyone have advice about how to avoid this early in the semester when you haven't really gotten to observe student learning habits yet? Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Alanna.K.459, thank you for your question! You can copy the discussion thread by:

    1. Navigating to Discussions.
    2. Clicking on a discussion topic.
    3. From the discussion thread's Actions menu, clicking Copy Thread.

    You can then select Destination Forum and the Destination Topic from the drop-down menus. That's where the discussion thread will be copied to.
