Automate drop lowest grade

Is there a way for to automate dropping the lowest grade in the gradebook? I found an article where you can go into the individual user and manually find the lowest grade and drop it, but I want to see if there is a way that Brightspace can find the lowest grade and automatically drop it. So for example, it may drop quiz 1 for Sally and drop quiz 3 for John because they were the lowest grades for them respectively.

If I have understood you correctly you can set up a grade category in which to group the grade items. When creating/editing the category an options (under Grading > Distribution) is to ..

drop users' lowest grades in the category from their final grade. You can only use this option if all grade items in the category are worth the same amount.
