Requiring comments on other posts for grading

Is it possible to require students to post comments on other student's discussion posts, and to have these count towards their grade? How do I do that?

Hi Laura,

There is no way to force learners to post comments on other students' discussion posts. However, you do have the option to require students to start their own topic before replying. You also have the option to grade each post individually, so you could assign specific point values for each reply.
