Can I associate a quiz with an assignment?

I created a quiz. The instructor calls it an assignment.
I want them to be one.
Can this be done?

I'm not sure if this helps to clear the way- but I sometimes recommend the use of a checklist that links to the specific assessments of a course.
That way students have a quick and easy way of checking what they have to complete and a method for managing their time so that they can get to all the assessments.
Ultimately a quiz and an assignment are different types of assessments in Brightspace, but as long as they each have a grade item in the gradebook, both can and will count for marks.
