Can a marking guide be created for grading?
I can see that rubrics can be used to grade assessments. Even though you can use custom points for different categories, there can be a lot of difference between [for example] a fail - which could lie anywhere between 0 and 5 for a particular criterion. Is there a place in Brightspace where a marking guide can be tied to an assessment and used for marking so a scale of marks can be used for any 'level'? I've provided an example I have used at another uni and LMS. Thanks in advance

Hi Sue,
Rubrics can have the following scoring options:
- Points results in each rubric level having the same score for each criterion.
- No Score indicates that no point values are set.
- Custom Points provides the ability to set unique point values for each level in each criterion.
The ability to have a score range for each level (like the ones in your document) is not currently supported. There are several PIE items that address this that you may consider upvoting.
Best,
Andrea

Thank you for your response Andrea. What do you mean by PIE items? Is that 'product improvement something'?

Apologies, Sue. PIE is the Product Idea Exchange. This is where you can submit product enhancements/improvements. You can also upvote ideas submitted my others. D2L uses these ideas as part of the roadmap planning. Here are a couple I have found that may address your need:
