Course End Date Access

Question

Does granting special access to students with dropbox items, discussions, or quizzes allow them to complete the assignments after a course end date has passed? Or is the only option to allow a student more time to complete their coursework is extend the actual end date of the course offering temporarily?

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, We will be unable to override course end date with special access dates in any tools.

Thank you so much for the information. Students do have the ability to access courses past their end date, but I received a question from an instructor about a student with accommodations. She was wondering if there is a way for an extension for the student for 2 days past a course end date. I am wondering if you have to add special access to each assignment or content item in order for the student to submit coursework or just temporarily "open" the course back up by extending the course end date.

Thank you for reaching us through the Brightspace community, Please be aware that the ability to access courses after the End Date depends on the role settings selected under "Course Access Options."

If the user's role does not have "Access past courses" selected, they will be unable to access a course once it has concluded, even if special access has been granted for specific activities.
