April Quiz Confirmation Dialog box

We are using the New Content Experience and in learner view there is no "X" showing that would allow students to exit a quiz. Is this update for a different view? We do not have the Quizzes option showing in our Nav Bar in order to ensure there is no backdoor for students who need to take a proctored test. Is there another way to activate the dialog boxes?

To answer your question, yes, what you're seeing is due to different learner views / experiences. You indicated you are using the New Content Experience, but not whether you are also using the New Learner Experience. The X and dialog box displays for the learner only when the New Learner Experience is OFF.

Using only the New Content Experience

When taking a quiz as a learner, an X is displayed at the top right of the screen.

When a learner clicks the X, a prompt is displayed, asking whether they want to exit the quiz and informing them they can return to it at a later time.

When the learner returns to the quiz which they exited before completing, a Continue Quiz button is displayed, and the Attempts section shows that 1 attempt is in progress.

Using the New Learner Experience with the New Content Experience

When taking a quiz as a learner, no X is displayed; only the Next and Back buttons are displayed.

The learner should use the Back or Next arrows to move to the previous or next activity in the content (thus, exiting the quiz). Once the learner reaches the end of the unit, a screen indicating that there are pieces left to complete, is displayed.

When the learner returns to the quiz which they exited before completing, a Continue Quiz button is displayed, and the Attempts section shows that 1 attempt is in progress.

    Hopefully this answers your question.

Thank you for this clarification. Yes, we do have the learner experience view turned on.
