Competency Tracking in Brightspace
Is there a way to track students Outcome (Standards met) progress in one place for all competed outcomes by program and allow students to view their progress throughout their education journey?
Is there a one place where students and staff can see met and unmet outcomes of students?
Is there a competency tracking integrated software that works with Brightspace?

Based on the use case you explained, it sounds like checking out Mastery View in Gradebook might be helpful. This view doesn't alter the functionality of the Grades view, but it provides an alternative view of learner achievements in the course.

Thank you for your answer. I am using the Mastery view to see the information, but cannot export or print the info. becuase it comes out jumbled when I use the browser print option. Is there a way to print or export this information so it can be shared with students? We need to have hard copies of individual reports and class reports. Since the course is closed now, only limited items show in the Class Progress tool.
When I try to print using the browser Ctrl +A & Ctrl +P, the information is all jumbled. I have to go to each outcome to try to print anything which is a lot when you have more than 1 outcome. There must be a way to gather this information so students can see and have a record of outcomes progress for each course.

Exporting Mastery view report from gradebook is currently a feature request which is currently pending status "Feedback Review Window" . I would suggest upvoting the item on our Product Idea Exchange Platform. Sharing the PIE item with you:

In the meantime, all of the Mastery View data is contained in the Brightspace Data Sets. You would have to work with multiple outcome related datasets to get the information that you are looking for. Sharing the Brightspace datasets related to Mastery view below:

I need this as well. Is there add on software that allows you to create a higher org unit and allows you to keep up with competency completion across a program. To complete most of our competencies it requires project completion in more than one course. We also need a way to identify when the student has completed all the activities associated with a competency but was unable to achieve it and will have no more opportunities to complete it so we can do remediation with the student. Our students are part time for a long time and sometimes sit out a semester etc so it is hard to keep up with who is where, unlike if we had a cohort. It would be nice to have a d2l shell for all students in our program and have a spreadsheet or something that is fed by each individual course the completion of activities toward a competency and then the students could see the spreadsheet as it fills up. If anything like this is created, please let me know! Rene Stanley

Depending on how your competency structure is set up, you can achieve this using the View Competency Structure Results feature. This provides an overview of competencies, learning objectives, and associated activities across org units. Completed competencies are marked with an "Achieved" icon, and you can expand each activity to view more detail about how it was completed. This view is available to instructors and administrators and is especially useful when competencies are shared across multiple courses or org units.
To enable this setup, you can create competency structures at higher org levels—such as departments, semesters, or the organization level. These structures can be shared across multiple course offerings, allowing students to complete competencies in stages over time. This approach is ideal for complex programs where learning objectives are distributed across several courses. You can find more information here:
Alternatively, if your competencies are only defined within individual courses and not shared across org units, you may find the Competency Activity Results Brightspace Data Set useful. This dataset provides detailed information about student activity completion and competency achievement, which can be exported and analyzed externally (e.g., in a spreadsheet or dashboard).
