The D2L Academy Challenge wrapped up on August 22nd, and what an incredible journey it has been! Over the past month, our community showed what continuous learning and shared exploration are all about.

350+ Users completed some of the 12 badged courses in the D2L Academy
- 5 Users completed all 12 badges within 10 days of the Challenge Launch

We’ve introduced a set of improvements to the Community Groups experience, designed to make it easier for members to connect, discover relevant spaces, and engage more meaningfully.

As community content grows, search needs to do more than match keywords—it needs to understand intent. Enhanced Community Search uses Hybrid Search to combine the precision of Keyword Search with the intelligence of Neural Search.

Keyword Search: looks for exact matches (case IDs, product names, error codes)
Neural Search: understands meaning and intent, even for vague or conversational queries

Hybrid Search runs both approaches at once, then re-ranks results to deliver the most relevant answers—adapting dynamically based on your query.
