Please note, this is only a preview for the upcoming Brightspace version, which we will begin to roll out on April 6, 2023. All features described are subject to change before then.
Brightspace Documentation now available in multiple languages!
Changing how the world learns isn't just a fun tagline at D2L. For a few months now, we've been helping our clients and users transition their processes from the Legacy Community and Brightspace Help to the New Brightspace Community. We're continuing to work on identifying content gaps and adding new features to make the New Brightspace Community an even better experience for everyone.
This month, we have a great milestone to share! Brightspace documentation is now available in additional languages to support clients worldwide. In addition to English (US), you can now access Documentation and Release Notes in French (Canadian), Spanish (Mexican), Dutch, Portuguese (Brazilian), and Arabic (Saudi Arabian).
With the availability of Brightspace Community in multiple languages, we continue to improve our user's experiences no matter where their classroom is located.
When you launch the New Brightspace Community, your currently-selected language appears on the minibar.

To change the Language setting:
- Click the current language and select a new language from the available list.
Figure: From the list of languages, select your preference. - Click the subcommunity from under your chosen language.
Figure: The French subcommunity displays all available content in French.
We encourage you to explore the localized content, and use the search function to further refine your search terms. As always, we look forward to engaging with you to find ways to continuously improve our users' experiences.

March 2023/20.23.3 Release Notes are now live and ready to review in all languages.
The following update has also been published in the February 2023/20.23.3 Release Notes:
- Added on 2-March-2023 Updated the LTI – Improved Grades Associations for LTI 1.3 | Updated release note to accurately describe this feature.
Kindly note that Help documentation is available in English for all roles and segments. We are continuing to work through a translation delay and will provide a further update as our Help content is made available in all languages.

We have also recently published corrections and clarifications in the following release notes:
- Updated the Data Hub – Data type changed for TurnItIn Submissions BDS | Updated release note to replace digits with bytes.
- Updated the Intelligent Agents – Support for copying One-Time Run agents | New release note to clarify that previous behaviour did not copy One-Time Run agent schedules.
- Updated the LTI – Improved Grades Associations for LTI 1.3 | Updated release note to clarify the Auto Create Grade Items LTI Advantage Deployment configuration setting description.
- Updated the Rubrics – Simplified learner permissions to view rubric feedback | Updated topic to better describe the implications of withdrawing the See Rubrics permission.
