Re: Manage SCORMs at faculty level / Adding and Replacing SCORM uploaded by other user
Thanks. Turned out to be the option to share a SCORM was disabled for our Institution. It's now enabled.
Together with the option to Manage shared objects for our faculty admins it looks like we'll get all the functionality we wished for regarding managing and sharing SCORMs on a faculty level.
Re: how to extend test time
Hi,
If you want to extend test time for individual learners, you can do so by editing user accommodations. Otherwise you can update the timing for an entire quiz in the Timing & Display section.

Re: in Quiz, Description is repeated on consecutive screens
Hi @Reid.K.585
In Brightspace, the behavior you're describing, where users first see the quiz description in the Content area, then again after clicking Start Quiz (on the Quiz Start screen), is the default system behavior.
Unfortunately, this two-step launch cannot currently be bypassed through the standard Brightspace interface.
Possible Workaround:
1. Remove Description from Quiz Setup
- If the same description is used in both Content and the Quiz Start screen, consider removing the quiz description from the Quiz settings under the “Description” tab, and just use the content module text. This avoids the user seeing the same paragraph twice, though they’ll still click twice.
2. Submit Feature Request
- If this double-display of the description negatively impacts user experience significantly for your use case (e.g., certification flow), you can submit a Brightspace Product Idea Exchange (PIE) suggestion via the D2L Community to propose a streamlined quiz entry option.
Regards.
Re: in Quiz, is the Instructions field editable?
Hi @Reid.K.585 ,
The Instructions area that is shown before a Quiz is launched can be edited using Language Management under Admin Tools. This area is only accessible by an Administrator with the necessary permissions.
Tool Package: Quizzes
Collection: UserQuizSummary
Text Field Options: IbIInstructionsText1, IbIInstructionsText2, IbIInstructionsTextNormal, to name a few but there are more depending on the features used in the Quiz

Hope that helps.

Re: HTML Audio Recordings in Discussion Board not loading
Thanks for this, Raquel! Yes—I tried this out and your solution worked. I just wish I had know about it before my students started submitting! In any case, I appreciate your response.😀
Re: Retrieve the submission for a selected student
Hi @Arald.d.320
Thank you for the question. Based on our API reference, we do not currently offer an API endpoint to retrieve a specific user's submission. However, our development teams are aware of this limitation and are actively considering it for inclusion in future roadmap updates.
In the meantime, we recommend switching to the paged API call, which can significantly improve average performance by reducing the volume of data returned per request.
Let us know if you have any further questions.
Re: Multiple rubrics print over each other
Hi Hermien,
When there's a combination of rubrics, saving as PDF causes the text to overlap and it makes the text unreadable. I was able to confirm this across web browsers.
At this moment, I have not been able to find a workaround for this bug.
I would recommend submitting a case to the Support Helpdesk, as this can be a potential defect.
Best regards,
Gabriel
