Re: Bulk course copy - New course name
Hi @Ameeta.J.5440,
Thanks for providing this extra information.
Since the course already exists in your environment, Course Copy Bulk/Bulk Course Copy won't overwrite the name itself to the name found from the source course, but will retain the existing Course Offering Name and Code.
This would only differ if the destination course did not exist within your environment. At that point, it will take the name that you've specified within the CSV file you import to be run.
A bit more information on this can be found here:
Hopefully this helps, but if you have any questions just let us know.

Re: Add calendar events across multiple course shells at once?
Hello @Heather.B.4264, thanks for your question!
While copying a calendar invite to other courses isn't directly possible, I wonder if using the Announcement/News tool copy-function would be a suitable alternative.
Once an Announcement is created within one course, it can then be copied to other courses.
Full details, including some minor limitations, can be accessed here:
Hope that this helps. If you have any questions just let us know!

Re: Can students see AI reports with Turn It In
Hello @Jason.M.3295
Thank you for reaching out via the Brightspace Community!
After detailed investigation, the results indicate that, at this time, the AI detection indicator remains an instructor-only feature. Currently, this functionality is not accessible to students.
As this feature is fully managed by Turnitin, we would recommend reaching out directly to Turnitin Support or your Turnitin Account Representative if you would like additional information regarding their roadmap or potential future enhancements.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,

Re: JWKS issue when deploying M365 LTI app
Hi Jared,
You’re on the right track here — and what you’re seeing can happen on newly provisioned environments.
In theory, the JWKS should be populated once a tool registration + deployment exists, but in practice, there’s a second trigger involved: the signing service needs to initialize, which sometimes only happens after the first successful LTI 1.3 launch.
That’s where it gets tricky in cases like yours — if the JWKS is empty, validation may fail before you ever get a successful launch, so it never “self-initializes.”
A couple of things you can try:
- Double-check that the deployment is fully saved and assigned to org units (incomplete deployments can prevent key generation)
- If possible, register a simple test LTI 1.3 tool and launch it once — even a basic test tool can be enough to trigger key generation
If you still get {"keys":[]} after that, it’s very likely the JWKS/signing service just hasn’t been initialized on the backend yet, which can happen on brand new instances. In those cases, it isn’t something that can be triggered from the admin side and usually needs D2L to enable it.
Hope that helps — would be great to hear what ends up resolving it on your side.
Let me know if you have any doubts.

Re: Dropped grades
Hello @George.O.31, thanks for your question!
The method you noted around leaving off "Number of lowest non-bonus items to drop for each user" until the end of the course would likely be the preferred method I'd recommend to avoid the dropped wording.
I did check our Product Idea Exchange, and while there's an idea for this system change, it's not currently under consideration:
If you have any questions please do let us know!

Browser Find function no longer works on Enter Grades page
With the recent update to the Enter Grades page (scroll buttons), it seems instructors can no longer use the Find function in the browser (Ctrl+F) to jump to specific columns (grade items). Wondering if anyone has a work-around for finding a grade item quickly on the Enter Grades page?

Re: Hosting Brightspace Content on our Public Website
Hi Deepa,
The simplest way to do this is to pull all of the content out of the SCORM file and rebuild it in the HTML format. Learning Services does this regularly for clients who don't have time to do it themselves and are happy to help you with it.
Please reach out to your Customer Success or Account Manager for next steps.
