Re: Rubric attached to WR question
Hi @Brant.L.3333,
Thank you for reaching out in the Brightspace Community.
You mentioned that the rubric is attached to the quiz question. Can you please confirm that the quiz question type is a written response question? Also, can you please confirm you are using the new quiz evaluation experience, the rubrics is only available with the new experience.
The view of the new evaluation experience should look similar to the one below
Thank you,
Re: Setting Up a Gradebook to Show Cumulative Grades After Weekly Assignments
@Alexander.T.545 I think the easiest options are: automatically release the final grade, keep it automatically updated, and exclude ungraded items (all three options are on the Calculation Options tab in the grade book settings). Then the final grade the students see will always be the cumulative grade so far.

Re: Peer assessment tool
Hi All,
I'm Jackie, the product manager for Assignments. Just want to say that @Karim.M.508 is correct and that currently we do not have a native brightspace peer review tool. However, it is something in our prioritized roadmap and I would encourage you to keep an eye on the public roadmap for what is coming and available. To conduct Peer Review now, it is best to use a 3rd party tool, such as Feedback Fruits. I apologize for any confusion from our previous messages.

Re: Trying to determine cumulative grade
@Paula.C.2956 Hi Paula, your gradebook is probably set to Exclude ungraded items so if a student does not yet have a grade for a particular item, it is not counted against them and the points are not yet included in the current total. You could use a Calculated grade item to include only certain grade items that everyone has received grades for so far.
Re: Trying to determine cumulative grade
Hi @Paula.C.2956,
Thank you for reaching out with your question regarding the calculation of the final calculated grade in a grade book.
The denominator is often determine by the total Weight of all the grade items. Based on the details you have shared, it would be helpful to review the grade book in question to provide an accurate response. To do so, I would suggest we open a support case.
Please access the ASC Support Portal to find a new created case.
Thank you,
John
Re: How do I display or find "read only" users
Hi @Paula.C.2956,
It is possible the role type "Read Only" is not set up to appear in the Classlist. You can confirm this by going to Admin Tools > Roles and Permissions > Edit Settings
Check to see if the box is checked next to Display users enrolled as this role in classlist
Hope that helps!
Re: How do I display or find "read only" users
One workaround might be to use the Bulk User Management tool. I think you should be able to run a batch file which re-enrolls them in the same course with Student or another visible role, after which you should be able to see them on the classlist and manage them as usual.
Setting Up a Gradebook to Show Cumulative Grades After Weekly Assignments
Hello,
I’m looking to organize my gradebook in a way that allows students to see their current cumulative grade based on the assignments they have completed up to a given point in the course. Specifically, I want the gradebook to display:
- After a student completes assignments for the first week, they should be able to see their cumulative grade based on those assignments.
- After completing assignments for the second week, the gradebook should update to show their cumulative grade considering both the first and second weeks' assignments, and so on.
In other words, I want students to have a clear and updated view of their overall progress based on the assignments they have finished. What are some effective tools for setting up a gradebook to achieve this? Any recommendations on settings, or best practices?
Thank you.
Re: How can an instructor see who read an Announcement?
Hi @Heather.S.2922 currently I don't think there is any analytics other than in the Data Hub you can get analytics for the number of announcements created - I have put a PIE in (Product Idea Exchange) idea in so if you want to vote on that you can and fingers crossed it gets implemented
