Setting Up a Gradebook to Show Cumulative Grades After Weekly Assignments
Hello,
I’m looking to organize my gradebook in a way that allows students to see their current cumulative grade based on the assignments they have completed up to a given point in the course. Specifically, I want the gradebook to display:
- After a student completes assignments for the first week, they should be able to see their cumulative grade based on those assignments.
- After completing assignments for the second week, the gradebook should update to show their cumulative grade considering both the first and second weeks' assignments, and so on.
In other words, I want students to have a clear and updated view of their overall progress based on the assignments they have finished. What are some effective tools for setting up a gradebook to achieve this? Any recommendations on settings, or best practices?
Thank you.

@Alexander.T.545 I think the easiest options are: automatically release the final grade, keep it automatically updated, and exclude ungraded items (all three options are on the Calculation Options tab in the grade book settings). Then the final grade the students see will always be the cumulative grade so far.
