Articulate Rise SCORM or xAPI completion tracking not working

I have been unable to track (automatically grade) the completion of simple Rise lessons. I have read all the related discussions and tried all the suggestions. The solution that comes up most often is to publish the lesson using SCORM 2004 - 4th Edition with Passed/Incomplete (see below.) I use the default settings on the Brightspace import side although I have tried assorted different settings. Are there any other suggestions out there?

I have had success tracking Rise quiz results. I'd prefer to keep the course quizzes in Brightspace but if I am unable to find a working solution for completion tracking I may need to include a quiz with each lesson.

    Could you kindly confirm the type of SCORM object you're working with? If it's a video-based object, it should be configured to load the video and send a completion status once the video sequence concludes. Additionally, the SCORM object should be set up to track a score and report both the score and completion back to the LMS.

    I know this question was long ago, but I was working on the same issue. I found that I was only able to get Rise to pass a grade to Brightspace when a quiz was included. It is not possible to use both completion and score with Rise, so I used the quiz score. I selected SCORM 1.2 and set reporting status as Passed/Incomplete.

    Thank you for your question and sharing results from your tetsing.

    That aligns with what we would generally expect for Rise SCORM behaviour. If the package is configured to report based on a quiz score, Brightspace can receive and display the score when the learner completes the quiz and the SCORM package sends that score back.

    If the Rise package is tracking completion only, then Brightspace will receive a completion status but not a numeric score since none will be passed back. Since Rise does not support using both completion tracking and quiz score tracking at the same time for the same SCORM export, using quiz score as the tracking method is typically the correct approach when a grade needs to be passed back to Brightspace.

    I would recommend confirming the Rise export settings and then testing with a new learner attempt in Brightspace, since SCORM results can be affected by previous attempt data if the same user/package attempt is reused.
