Dummy student in sandbox suggestion

I had the following unfortunate experience today. I wanted to better understand how to import and export grades. So I tried to use my sandbox course to create a dummy grade list. To get a grade list I need students in my course. I discovered that I can only add people who actually exist in my organization. I did not want to bother people from my organization so I decided to change my roll to student. As a consequence, I was no longer an admin and my sandbox was basically thrashed. This leads me to the following suggestions:

  1. Add dummy student(s) by default to the sandbox course. Alternatively, make it easier to add dummy students without having to contact other people. If I have to wait a day in order to add a dummy student to my course it would really slow me down.
  2. Make it harder to create orphan courses. A message like "Warning: this action will remove the last admin from the course" or something like that would be nice.

The ideas you shared about adding default dummy students to sandbox courses and providing a warning before removing the last admin would make the workflow smoother for users who are testing or learning new features.
