Adding a rubric to an assignment that uses Outcomes
I have added Learning Outcomes to a course and have connected different outcomes to different assignments. Each of the assignments has a rubric however I can't attach the rubric (greyed out). I disabled the Competencies tool as directed in order to use the Learning Outcomes tool, however now I am reading that in order to attach the rubrics I have to enable the Competencies tool. Not sure what to do. Has anyone else had this issue?

Based on the scenario, it seems that the rubrics are still tied to Competencies. If Competencies tool is disabled, rubrics cannot be attached to assignments or linked to outcomes.
You may consider keeping both the Learning Outcomes tool and the Competencies tool enabled. Even if you’re only using Learning Outcomes, the Rubrics tool still has dependencies on Competencies. Disabling Competencies seems to be the cause for the rubric attachment option to be greyed out.
Competencies doesn’t need to be actively used; it just needs to be enabled for rubrics to function. Therefore, you may consider re-enabling the Competencies tool so you can attach rubrics to assignments.

Thanks, Miguel. I appreciate your response. What was confusing to me is that in the documentation for Learning Outcomes it specifies that you must disable Competencies in order to use the LO. So it was a dilemma. I will try enabling the Competencies and hopefully the LOs will work as expected.
