Navigating Away and Back to Content - Not Holding Previous Location

I have a faculty member who noticed in NCE that when they navigate away from Content (say, over to grades) and then select Content again, it no longer goes back to where they were in the Content.

"In the new version of D2L, whenever I open Content, it takes me back to the beginning of the table of contents. In the old version, it took me back to where I left off. Is there any way to have that function restored?"

I've not found a solution in the Community boards.

In the New Content Experience (NCE), the default navigation behavior returns users to the top of the Table of Contents, with the first module expanded whenever they open the Content tool.

At this time, there is no configuration variable or administrative setting in NCE that can restore the automatic “remember last viewed topic/module” functionality.

Our Development team is already aware of this behavior, and it is currently a known gap that may be addressed as part of future NCE usability enhancements.
