Applying a Grade Scheme to a Program Level
If we apply a grading scheme to a program level, does it effect open courses? We want it to only apply to future courses in the program, is that possible?

From my testing, it appears that if you apply a grading scheme to a higher org unit, and have it cascade down per the Cascading Org Unit Type override, the default grading scheme will only override in Course Offerings that have not engaged with grading. If a course in the Program/Department/etc has not been used, it will change to the new default.
My advice would be to use your test environment to verify the same on your end, but I'm fairly confident those courses where work has been/is being completed won't be updated on you.
