Can we hide inline feedback until the evaluation is published?

I just learned that students can see inline feedback even if the evaluation was saved, not published. This is a problem, as I start evaluating before the due date to get ahead of the process, and I do not want students resubmitting (if they want formative feedback, they have to expressly ask for it in class, and I do it with them in person). Is there a streamlined way to hide the inline feedback until the evaluations are published? If not, please tell me D2L is working on a solution for this. Thank you.

When evaluating a learner, there should be an option to Save Draft. Additionally, if published, there should be an option to Retract.

If there are examples you can share where feedback is visible to the learner despite the evaluation being in a draft status, I would encourage you to raise this through the appropriate Admin Support channel, which your organization's Approved Support Contact (ASC) should have access to. The D2L Support team can investigate whether the behavior you're observing is expected, and if not, raise this internally as a potential defect.

Without looking at a specific example to understand where the feedback was left, what the specific sequence of events were, and where this feedback is surfacing to the end user, its difficult in this community discussion format — we do not recommend sharing PII or specific examples in a commuinity forum — to effectively troubleshoot.

    I hope that helps!
