What are some pros and cons on creating master course templates (course site not tie to any semester) for faculty members? Especially thinking about the resources issue, is it really a concern?

    Hi Roger,

A source, or master, course is an organizational unit used as a model for building and updating a single long‑term version of course materials for offerings that recur regularly. It serves as an ideal home for training, certification, or any case that you need to keep re-offering the course, really.

Regarding resources, there shouldn't be a problem, as they do not significantly increase LMS load or cause system performance issues, since this is basically another course that can be re-offered. Additionally, you can always use Data Purge to manage your storage, to archive or permanently delete large sets of data.

    Hope this helps

    Gabriel.
