Can you link this interactive to the grade book so students can get a score for answering the questions?

  • Hi Margot. If your organization pays for H5P and it is linked to Brightspace by LTI, then it's possible.

When you edit an interactive in H5P, there will be an option at the bottom called LTI Settings. This is where you can choose whether the score is sent to the gradebook or not.

When you first save it to put it on the page, it will then prompt you about creating the grade item:

  • Does this allow students to retake the questions and then have the max score recorded? And what does the cheat message mean?

    Hi @Margot.F.9552,

    Thank you for your reply!

You can choose whichever setting best fits your needs — whether it’s the student’s first attempt, last attempt, or best attempt (the highest score achieved across all attempts will be recorded in the LMS gradebook).

Based on the H5P settings, the score will be transferred to our Grades tool accordingly.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Thanks,

    Sangeetha

    Hi @Margot.F.9552,

    Adding to Sangeehta's response:

Yes this is possible, you would need to set the LTI settings and send score for to Best Attempt, you can see this is an option for a specific content type. Please refer to the screen capture below:

It is also possible to set this as a default choice for content types under Manage Organization > LTI Settings

Please refer to this screen capture:

    Thanks,
