Brand new to creator +

Question

My college just adopted Creator + with H5P and I just got access. We have had no training on this technology and the videos I have found a video online don't seem basic enough and my Brightspace set-up seems different from the videos.  I have been using SoftChalk to develop interactive content and now we have been asked to transfer all that content to Creator +. I have literally no idea what I am doing, and want to learn how to make a page that contains all the materials I had in one of my SoftChalks, such as videos, questions, and interactives.  Anyone have a very simple start guide.  I looked at the ones posted here and they seem to be for people who have admin privileges that I don't have.

I agree with you Margot. I've had a hard time looking for examples of what the different Creator+ elements actually look like on a Brightspace page, so I know what the element actually looks like in order to know if that is the right one to use.

To help you get started, we have a dedicated Creator+ Instructional Design Best Practices course (ensure you are logged into Community) that walks through the fundamentals in a very approachable, step-by-step way. It’s designed specifically for instructors and course authors, not admins, and is a great place to learn how to build a single page with videos, questions, and interactive elements using Creator+ tools.

We also have a Creator+ and H5P Community Group, which offers consistently updated, bite-sized content focused on practical “nice to know” tips, examples, and walkthroughs. This group complements the Best Practices course by giving you quick insights and inspiration as you start rebuilding your content.

I’d strongly encourage you to explore the course first, then use the Community Group as an ongoing resource while you build. Both together should give you a simple, supportive start!
