"Hide Learner View of Grade" Assignment option not fully reverting and preventing Grades visibility

I am running into issues where the "Hide Learner View of Grade" option was used in an Assignment. It performed its function and was then turned off—everything in the Assignment and feedback screen (and the same from the student's view) was hunky-dory.

The issue arose when looking at the associated Grade Item as the scores never appeared there. Typical remedies did not work (break the association, create new Grade Item, etc.).

I finally toggled the "Hide Learner View of Grade" back on, then off, then updated feedback to fix.

Based on what you’re describing, I think it would be a good idea to have a support agent take a closer look at the assignment.

Your first step is to connect with your school or organization’s Help Desk to create a support request.
