Exceeding Points on an Assignment
Hi. I manage several sections of a course, each of which has it's own Brightspace page, though the pages are identical. We have an assignment that is graded with a rubric where students can get up to 5.5 points (there are 0.5 points built in as extra credit). The assignment itself is set up as 5 points total. In the grade book, the item is set up as 5 points with the can exceed option enabled. The final calculated grade is also set up as "can exceed". The grades on the assignment were published for two sections. When I viewed the grade book for each section, I noticed that scores were out of 5- students earning 5.5 points did not get the extra points. I was able to successfully fix the settings for one section (by retracting the results and then doing something that I can't seem to replicate) but I am unable to fix the results for the other section. How can I resolve this?
