How can I let students view a past quiz with the following conditions:

I want my students to be able to open their past quizzes and view the following:

  • all questions
  • their responses
  • wrong answers WITHOUT displaying the correct answers

I have tried setting it up numerous ways with no success. I can either allow them to see all questions and their responses, all questions with correct answers, or only the incorrect questions with or without the correct answers. Why is there not an option to view all questions with the incorrect ones marked without showing the correct answer?

Has anyone found a work around?

I also do not want to have to go through every question on every quiz and manually provide feedback with which ones they got wrong.

@Kylee.M.4135 Hi Kylee, I think you may have to use "All questions, without correct answers" for the primary view or if using an additional view: "All questions" with "Show learner's responses to the displayed questions" and "Show the learner’s grade for the displayed questions". There won't be any red X's for wrong responses so students just need to pay attention to the points awarded for each question to see which ones they got wrong (e.g. 0 / 1 point).

I forgot to thank you, but this helped me tremendously! Even our IT department couldn't help me. So, thank you very much. Do you know anything about the lockdown browsers? I am having an issue with that now. My students are receiving this message: "There is a problem with the LockDown Browser setting for this exam. The instructor needs to use the LockDown Browser 'dashboard' to enable the settings for this exam," but I do not have a fix it button. Everything appears to be working on my end. Any suggestions?

    Hello @Kylee.M.4135

Regarding the LockDown Browser issue, that message typically appears when the quiz’s LockDown Browser settings are out of sync. This can happen, for example, if the quiz was copied from another course or modified after LockDown Browser was initially set up.

To resolve this, please try the following steps:

    1. Go to your course and open the LockDown Browser Dashboard (under Quizzes > LockDown Browser).
    2. Allow the Dashboard to load fully — this process automatically re-establishes the connection between the quiz and LockDown Browser.
    3. Once the list of quizzes appears, confirm that the affected quiz shows the correct settings.
    4. If you see any warning or error icon next to the quiz, click Fix It (if available). If not, you can re-save the settings to refresh the configuration.

After completing these steps, please ask one of your students to try launching the quiz again to see if the error persists.

If the issue continues, please create as support case including quiz and course details and we will be happy to look into it further.

    Regards,

    Bharti
