Gradebook weighting somehow reverts to points - like magic

Has anyone else seen this?

I had two of my faculty members have this happen. They went into their gradebooks this morning, and the calculation method seems to have gone to points when they had originally set up weighted categories. It was an easy enough fix to go back through Mnage grades - Settings - Calculation Methods - weights, then save it

All the categories and weights they created were still there. They are both fairly good users of Brightspac,e and it's hard for me to believe they could have both made a similar accidental error, but…

Thanks for any thoughts on this.
