Does anyone use the Completion Tracking widget - and can give advice on how to set it up

We were wondering how to set up the completion tracking widget mentioned on the above page.

We've added it to a homepage on a course, ensured completion tracking is enabled on the course.

But just logging in as a learner nothing shows on the homepage. Its as if the widget doesn't exist.

Theres nothing in permissions or any additional guidance that we can find anywhere to set it up.
