How can I sort columns on the Enter Grades page?

How can I sort on the Enter Grades page for an item so that I see a list of students who have not yet submitted that item at the top of the list, arranged in Last Name A - Z order? If I sort them by Last name A to Z, and then try to sort them by Ascending grades, it reverts the names to a First name A to Z sorting.

    Hello @Peggy.R.1517,

It does not appear that this is currently possible. What you are describing is a type of multi-level or hierarchical sorting, which Gradebook does not currently support.

I would recommend you post or upvote an existing idea that matches in the Product Ideas Exchange (PIE). You can reach the PIE from the QuickLinks widget in the Brightspace Community.

That said, something you could try that perhaps could help — specifically for the ungraded subset — would be to use the advanced search options to search by score. This allows you to filter your list of users to only those users who have received a score within a certain range (i.e. no score) for a specific grade item. From there, you could then sort your list by Last Name A-Z. I do recognize this won't fully address your needs as you want to see all grades and users, but if you break your workflow up into grading only those without a grade first, then at least you can see that particular subset by Last Name A - Z order.

    I hope that helps!
