Pulse iOS app now opening course content on device mobile browser
We have been experiencing an issue following the most recent update to Pulse for iOS, and I wanted to check if this is due to a setting that we have not enabled or if it is a wider issue with the platform.
When a learner opens a Lesson in Pulse iOS, it is opening the Lesson via and new window in whatever the default browser has been set as. Prior to this update, a it would open the Lesson in the app itself. The in-app view has many advantages over the default browser window (such as overall user accessibility).
Is this something we can fix in our Brightspace settings?

Hi @Hugh.P.4150 ,
Thank you for reaching Brightspace Community !
This is the expected behaviour as of December 2024, external links now open in a device's native browser rather than in-app browser to improve user experience and enable new functionality.
This update implements improvement in security that enhances users experience and strengthens content access for a safer learning environment.
Kindly find below further information regarding this specific update:
Hope this helps !
