Accommodating students to move back and forth through quiz pages

I am required to accommodate students who need to be able to go back and forth through quiz questions. I can't find a way to manage special access to provide this flexibility. How can I do this?

Hi, while I don't believe that special access or accommodations can define whether specific learners can page back and forth through quizzes, if you want to limit this ability to only some members in the class, this is the workaround that comes to mind (note, if you have to do this for multiple quizzes, it will get unwieldy pretty fast):

• Create 2 groups and add all students requiring the special accommodation to one and all other students to the other group
• Create your quiz questions in the question library, then create two copies of the quiz (use a clear title or description to help with managing your gradebook later on)
• Edit the one quiz:
  • Availability Dates & Conditions > Release Conditions > Create New > Condition Type > Group Enrollment > "No Accommodations" group
  • Timing & Display > Paging (select how many #/page and select Prevent going back to previous pages)
  • Make your other changes, then Save and Close
• Edit the second quiz to release only to the accommodations group, and make sure you do not select the Prevent going back to previous pages check box.

Note that you will also have to consider how this will impact managing your grade book going forward if you want the quizzes to be graded.
